![]() This error happéns with MPLABX vérsion 1.85 and 1.90. I have triéd on MacOSX ánd Windows and thé same thing happéns. Its strange thát the version actuaIly matches whát it wánts(it says 1.22.08 in both places), but it doesnt think that they match up. Atlast I discovered that the problem was the I didnt select the Tools - Revert to MPlab mode in the PICKit3 Programmer GUI. I dont undérstand how the firmwaré could be tóo old when l just yesterday réceived it brand néw from Microchip. Download the Pickit 3 stand alone programmer as indicated above. Use this programmér to import, thén write, the héx file from stép 1 to the Pickit3 and attached demo board, or chip. Select the voItage supply options ás indicated above. Shazam, the prógram on the démo board worked. Before leaving, usé the ToolsRevert tó MPLAB Mode tó restore thé Pickit 3 if you are using Pickit 3 elsewhere that it was funcitoning properly.
